Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Video Shows Different Arrows In Action

The upcoming Zelda game, entitled the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, has a new short video clip that shows properties of arrows, how they affect enemies and the environment around them. The new Zelda game is said to launch sometime next year.

If you are curious about the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild like I am, and seek to see more of the dateless game, a new video by Nintendo of America is up for your viewing pleasure.

I should note that the Twitter video has some issues while displaying the content for some people, so instead I opted for a video by Yusuf. The video runs a lot smoother and allows for a better look at each of the arrows’ properties.

First, before showing the video, Link will be able to switch quickly between different types of arrows by a floating icon list that pops up in the middle of the screen. This, however, may be subject to change on release, but at least we now have an ideal visually as to how the arrow mechanics play out — as of now.

According to the video, Link has the option to choose from a typical broad-head arrow, a fire arrow that ignites enemies, an ice arrow that imbues cocytus syndrome (or ice in layman terms) around enemies, and a bomb arrow that blows up anything within its blast radios.

Additionally, you will be able to freeze an enemy with the ice arrow so that you can blast them apart with the blast arrow. This reveals a lot of synergy in the base mechanics of the arrows, which is pretty cool to me and offers up an endless possibility of mixing elements together.

If you want you can view the original video over on Nintendo of America’s Twitter account, or on YouTube thanks to Yusuf Çiftci.

The forthcoming action adventure game, the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, is said to release for the Wii U and NX. However, the new Zelda game has no official release date aside from debuting sometime in 2017.
