Kingdom Come: Deliverance Trailer Sets Up The Story While Community Tempers Flare

A new story trailer was released for Warhorse Studios’ Kingdom Come: Deliverance, the upcoming medieval game for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

The trailer sets up the conflict that players will encounter in the game as they take on the role of Henry, the son of a blacksmith.

The trailer also highlights many other aspects of the game, including horse-riding, the combat system, scarfing down drinks at the tavern and getting into fisticuffs in the woods. You can check out the trailer below.

The game has been receiving a lot of positive feedback from most of the community for its attempt to bring a more realistic medieval game to the market, and for being true to the history of the real life stories it’s based on.

It’s not all rosy in the garden of Warhorse’s game.

One user in particular, fightknightHERO, was apparently permanently banned from the Steam forums and the sub-Reddit community for Kingdom Come: Deliverance after making comments about how the game would finally take it to the Social Justice community. The original Steam thread was deleted after the comments were made, and the Steam moderators banned fightknightHERO. After attempting to raise concerns about the moderation staff at Warhorse being too censor-happy by making a thread on Reddit, the Reddit moderators then banned him from the sub-Reddit.

Before the comments were deleted by the moderators, fightknightHERO mentioned that he represented members of the Alt-Right and MRA communities, and that by banning them the developers could end up hurting the sales of Kingdom Come: Deliverance with those audiences, especially those looking for a game featuring an all white cast and no playable females. However, the sub-Reddit for Kingdom Come: Deliverance did not take kindly to that and downvoted the thread before the content was deleted.

It’s definitely something to keep in mind if you plan on purchasing Kingdom Come: Deliverance, especially those who are entirely anti-censorship.

The crowdfunded title is scheduled for release on February 13th for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. If you need to learn more about this historical medieval game or the Polish developers making it, you can visit the official website.
