ESL One Berlin Major 2023 will take place from 26 April to 7 May 2023 in Berlin. 18 of the world’s best Dota 2 teams will compete for a share of the total prize pool of $500,000.

Those who bet on Dota 2 Vulkan Bet will also watch the teams compete for the opportunity to play live in front of their fans on the last three days of the tournament at the Velodrome. 

Additionally, participating teams can earn valuable Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) points, which are required to qualify for the prestigious Dota 2 Championship The International 12 (TI 12).

About ESL One Berlin Major 

Dota 2 teams can look forward to a spectacular conclusion to the 2022-2023 DPC Spring Tour with:

• Eastern Europe;
• Western Europe;
• North America;
• South America;
• Southeast Asia;
• China. 

Two to four best teams from each region will travel to Berlin. The ESL One Berlin Major will start on 26 April with the group stage, which will be played in a best-of-two round robin format. 

Here, the participating teams will be divided into two groups of nine teams each and will compete against each other in a studio environment. The top six teams from each group will advance to the play-off stage and play in a double-elimination system. The six finalist teams will compete for victory in front of a live audience at the Velodrome in Berlin from 5 to 7 May 2023.

Starting from 26 April, fans from all over the world can watch the tournaments live on the ESL Dota 2 Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as on the channels of broadcast partners.

Unexpected favorites for qualifiers

With the main part of the Dota Pro Circuit 2023: Season 2 First Division matches in each of the six regions over, all the teams that will play at the ESL One Berlin Major 2023 have been announced. The spring championship will feature 18 teams.

Western Europe and China will have the most representatives – four teams from both regions. In addition to them, three teams from Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia, as well as two teams from North and South America will play at the ESL One Berlin Major 2023. 

The matches of the first division of DPC 2023: S2 for Western Europe have not yet been completed due to tiebreaks, but the results of these meetings will not affect the distribution of slots at the major.
