Persona 5 Gains New 18 Minute Long Video Showing Off Gameplay

Persona 5 fans have something to look forward to… that is if you don’t mind seeing 18 minutes of the actual game way before its initial release, which is next year on February 14th. The video, however, does offer some spoilers, so be warned before you start watching.

Atlus came around with a very long video that  measures 18 minutes in length showing nice portions of the fifth game in the canonical Persona series, which is better known as Persona 5. The gameplay footage arrives from a live stream event regarding the JRPG, which NicoNico posted.

The event was part of a 24-hour live stream countdown to the game’s Premium Event that is noted to bring seven new announcements on July 19th. This will start around 19:30 JST, and NicoNico will stream it once again.

This now brings us to the video, due to the it receiving various copyright strikes and constantly being pulled from viewers’ eyes, you can check out the video by hitting up the link — and no it is not a virus. However, if you don’t want anything spoiled, I suggest that you turn around now so that nothing will be spoiled when the game drops, which is going to be a long time seeing how it is next year for western folks.

If the video is acting up in the link and you can’t view it, a simple explanation is that the video shows off some of the combat, daily activities that players can participate in to increase the heroes’ stats, dating, crafting, negotiating with one of the game’s demons, and other mini-games in Persona 5.

Before wrapping things up, I see a lot of people are excited for Persona 5. With that said, some fans don’t want vital information leaked, which I’m sure will be hard to avoid until next year during February. But at the same time, I think it’s sometimes good to get a sneak peek at a game before it drops just to see what it has to offer, and what fans will be looking forward to.

If you can’t wait, Persona 5 is due out for PS3 and PS4 on September 15th in Japan, and will head West on February 14th. A European version is said to be in the works, which will be published by Deep Silver, but currently has no release date yet.
