The music platforming game Metrico+ from developer Digital Dreams will be making the hop, skip and a jump from the PlayStation Vita all the way to the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and on Steam later this month. In fact, the game is due for release on August 23rd.
The game sees players having to making dynamic choices in where they land on the platforms in order to progress through the levels. Depending on where the player moves depends on how the platforms elevate. You can get an idea of how the game works with the trailer below.
Digital Dreams level fesigner Roy van de Mortel explained in the press release what their motivation was from moving the game over from the PlaytStation Vita to the newer home consoles and PC, and what gamers can expect from the updated version by stating…
“The response we got from both the many players and press on the original game for PlayStation Vita was extremely positive, and one of the most heard comments was that people wanted to play the game on platforms other than the Vita as well”
“With Metrico+, we can now finally give players the opportunity to experience the world of Metrico on all major platforms, along with new content that is 100% exclusive to this version. Both old and new players are sure to find something to love in this completely redesigned version of Metrico, whether it’s the mechanics, puzzles, visuals or story!”
It reminds me a little bit of Intelligent Cube, but with a music-rhythm twist.
And speaking of music, Metrico+ will sport the exclusive tunes made by Palmbomen. They have plans on releasing the soundtrack for the game separately, which will be available for music aficionados.
Metrico+ will be available starting August 23rd for only $13.99. For more info feel free to visit the official website.
