Aqua Moto Racing Utopia Updated With New Tracks

Aqua Moto Racing Utopia is still traversing through the developmental phase of Early Access over on Steam. The game was recently updated by developer Zordix with seven brand new tracks to fill out the game’s playable selection of racing courses.

Over on the Steam page there’s an update listing off some of the new changes and features added to Aqua Moto Racing Utopia. The game now has seven brand new tracks to race around, along with a brand new championship to pursue. They’ve also added (or rather, remade) one of the environments… the swamplands. It was decided to make it more lush and increase the fidelity of both the water and the tree models.

Some of the other behind-the-scenes tweaks to Aqua Moto Racing Utopia includes the removal of stunt competitions from the single-player championship mode, along with the addition of the new championship mode specifically dedicated to stunt competitions.

Net code for online multiplayer has been improved, along with new lobby menus for setting up a server for multiplayer games.

The game also now has a respawn button, so if you get stuck or can’t move somewhere, the game allows you to respawn and get back into the race.

There have also been tweaks to the AI, supposedly making them “less murderous” and smarter when it comes to racing competitively.

I haven’t had time to play-test the newest version of the game. I was given a pre-release key before the game entered into Early Access, so I’ll need to see what the newer updates to the title are like and if playability has been improved. Last time I tried the game the Steam Controller wasn’t working right with it, and it’s difficult for me to play games these days without it.

Anyway, if you plan on keeping track of Aqua Moto Racing Utopia’s development progress or you want to pick up a digital copy, you can do so by visiting the Steam store page. The game currently has a price of $29.99.
