F1 2016 Now Available For PS4, PC, And Xbox One

Codemasters is back yet again with another season of Formula One racing. F1 2016 has been made available for the PS4, PC and the Xbox One. The game launched with a minute long launch trailer that sums up the visually updated entry in this year’s racing outing, and it looks pretty darn good.

One of the key selling points for F1 2016 is that up to 22 players can go head-to-head in a near full grid on the race track with new and improved online race modes.

The safety car also returns and an all new broadcast-style presentation to give gamers the most realistic F1 racing experience to date. You can check out the trailer below, which does a mighty fine job of tempting gamers with the kind of graphics that would make your mouth water and your eyes bleed salts of joy. Check it out below.

As showcased in the trailer, full sponsors, teams, pit crews and managers will be present in F1 2016. Graphically the game looks pretty sharp, and it very well should on the eighth-gen systems and PC.

The Career Mode also makes a return, featuring story-oriented progression for the player-character as they research new developments, advance their career through tactical racing ability and build the most complete Formula One racing machine that money can buy.

My only major issue is that the damage models still don’t seem up to scratch. It’s been years since Viper Racing and we still don’t have a game that matches the soft-body deformation from games like that or the more recent BeamNG.Drive. It would be awesome if they put more detail into the damage systems, but given that a lot of manufacturers don’t like realistic damage simulations used in games like Gran Turismo, Forza Motorsport and F1, I guess it’ll always be a pipe dream until some indies make it happen.

Anyway, F1 2016 is available right now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. For more info feel free to hit up the game’s official website.
