GoNNER, the strange yet somber game that recently came out not too long ago on Steam, holds a lot of secrets. In this guide for GoNNER, folks will learn how to find hidden places better and how to get the Glide Head. GoNNER is out now for PC, and currently runs for $9.99.
Those who are new to the procedurally generated 2D platfomer, with the overly used tag of roguelike, can get some tips on finding the Glide Head and secrets sprawled throughout the crazy dark land of GoNNER.
If you aren’t familiar with this game and seek to get an understanding on what GoNNER is all about, the official description lies below.
“GoNNER is a tough as hell procedurally-generated 2D platformer with roguelike elements, following the largely misunderstood and altruistic Ikk on a journey to cheer up his only friend in this world—a giant landbound whale named Sally—by searching for just the right trinket in the deep and dark places nearby.”
Although the stages in GoNNER randomly generate and are different each playthrough, you will be able to find the Glide Head by heading to the third room and clearing out all the enemies there.
Once killing all the enemies in the third room and making sure it is empty, you should see a second cat, exit room thingy? Whatever you like to call the exit tube, a second tube should appear once all enemies are clear in the third room.
After proceeding down into the tube you will be met with a lot of flying monsters. You can either jump and shoot your way over, or you can fall to the bottom and try to wall hop on to surrounding enemies to get to the opposite side of the room, which will lead you to the Glide Head.
As for finding secret areas, try killing all enemies in a room. Another way that might help you find other hidden aspects in the game is by getting your combo meter up. Every three seconds your combo meter will go down if you are not killing enemies, if you are killing enemies you will get extra bonuses by keeping your combo meter up.
