Asus has released a few new products for CES 2017, but today we’re taking a look at their new powerhouse gaming computer, the ROG GT51CH.
The Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2017, held at Las Vegas, Nevada, has officially started, and electronic and computer companies from around the world have attended to show off their new technology and products that will be launching for this year.
Asus’ Republic Of Gamers (ROG) GT51CH Desktop, is the newest computer in their line of gaming tower desktops to hit the market for the year of 2017, and it comes with a long list of shiny new goodies. I’ll quickly give you the rundown of what’s included, but you can take a look at the full spec sheet located at the bottom of this article for all the details.
First up, you will have the choice of adding two different graphic cards inside your machine using the NVIDA SLI Technology. Asus says in the below quote that during their product development tests-
“The GT51CH performed 60% better than a GeForce GTX 980 SLI-equipped system. It was able to run Watch Dogs 2 at ‘Ultra’ graphics settings in 4K UHD at frame rates averaging 66fps.”
The three graphics cards listed in the press release for the GT51CH, were the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB; the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB, and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB O.C Edition.
Additionally, the Asus ROG GT51CH will come with the ROG-exclusive “Aegis III application“, which will allow you to easily overclock your computer’s processor, graphics card and memory settings to give your machine a huge performance boost. Asus says that the System memory can be adjusted using the Intel XMP technology, which can provide a performance boost of up to 17%.
The Asus ROG GT51CH will also come with an Intel Z270 chipset with a Kaby Lake Intel Core i7-7700K processor, as well as the Windows 10 operating system. Furthermore, the ROG GT51CH gaming desktop will have 3 terabytes of SATA 6Gbps HDD storage, as well as options for additional SSDs, including the RAID 0 M.2 SSDs.
For those of you that like all the glitz and glamor with flashy lights and a stylish case, the ROG GT51CH also comes with the ASUS Aura lighting effects system, which lights up its central air intake and motherboard with mounted LEDs that you will be able to customize and change with up to 8 million different colors. That is a lot of different colors!
