Looking for Xur in Destiny this week? If so, you will be able to find him in this guide that details both his location and items he’s holding as of January 13th, 2017. Bungie’s Destiny is out now for PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One.
Starting things off clear and concise: if you are a veteran you shouldn’t bother to see Xur, unless you are looking for Three of Coins or Heavy Ammo Synthesis. If you are new to the game or you are an intermediate Guardian, Xur is worth paying a visit seeing how he may have something in his inventory worth purchasing.
You will be able to find derpy Xur in The Reef at the usual spot near the locked door. Furthermore Xur contains the Empyrean Bellicose helmet, the Young Ahamkara’s Spine gauntlets, and the Voidfang Vestments armor.
Looking over to the weapons he currently has in stock this week includes the Bad Juju pulse rifle and a Legacy Special Engram. If you are a veteran of the game it’s best to pass on both listed weapons, but if you are new and have currency and resources to burn you’re more than welcome to purchase both items.
If you wish to see a video guide of Xur’s inventory, YouTuber TeftyTeft Games has a video up for you to look over.
If you didn’t watch the video and skimmed through looking for a list of each item in Xur’s inventory, you can read the bulleted list below:
- (Titan Helmet) Empyrean Bellicose – 13 Strange Coins
- (Hunter Gauntlets) Young Ahamkara’s Spine – 13 Strange Coins
- (Warlock Armor) Voidfang Vestments – 13 Strange Coins
- (Pulse Rifle) Bad Juju – 23 Strange Coins
- (Engram) Legacy Special Weapon – 31 Strange Coins
TL;DR: If you are planning on visiting Xur it’s best if you are new or somewhat new to the game to barter with him this week. Those who are already well set, it’s best to skip him unless you want Three of Coins or Ammo Synth.
Destiny is out now for PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One. Rise of Iron (Destiny’s latest DLC) is currently available for PS4 and Xbox One.
