Ahead of the release of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One from CI Games, the developers released a new video tutorial guide to give gamers the basic tactical rundown needed to survive the harsh environments of Georgia.
The video was posted up over on the CI Games channel, and only clocks in at three and a half minutes.
They cover the scope calibration for long-distance shots. They mention that you’ll need to compensate for bullet drop, so use the gauge as necessary on the right of the scope to adjust the position of the target, and proceed to hold your breath before firing, while also using the green bar indicating wind to ensure that your shot is properly compensated for.
They note that you can position yourself to take out two guys at one time by aligning your shots for maximum kill efficiency. Look for opportunities where patrols may align laterally so you can get two kills with one shot.
They also briefly talk about crouching and laying prone. Both of the positional tactics can be used to help steady your shots. You’ll get more efficiency out of your shots crouching as opposed to standing, and even more accuracy out of laying prone as opposed to crouching.
Additionally, you can steady your shots using the tripod at the end of your sniper rifle, assuming you equipped your rifle with one.
Drones can also be used to help scout out areas you can’t reach by foot due to patrols. Drones are great for sneaking around at night and sabotaging an area without being spotted. However, guards who take notice of your drone will attempt to shoot it down, so be wary about how you use it and where.
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is gearing up for release on April 4th, 2017 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. A lot of fans are excited for it and feel it’s a noteworthy open-world shooter that appears to capitalize on where Far Cry became stale.
