It should come as no surprise that the top 10 epic anime moments of 2016 – broken down into a two part video series – features mostly charging up, fight sequences and over-the-top finishes.

The first part of the video features five animes from 2016 that had absolutely standout moments. It starts with Ajin’s first season and ends with Boku No Hero Academia. You can check out the two part video series below from YouTuber Anime Productions.

1 – Naruto vs Sasuke – Naruto Shippuden

It’s no surprise that Naruto versus Sasuke took the final spot, but oh man, that fight between Gintoki and Takasugi was unbelievable. That was brutal as heck. That Boku No Hero Academia was insane, though. It was like pure epic. The animations, the build up to the finale, the moves, the message behind the fight – I thought it was a lot better than the Naruto Shippuden fight, but there are fanboys who might argue otherwise.

A lot of people were in the comment section asking about Saitama’s epic fight from One Punch Man, but the more knowledgeable anime watchers had to inform them that the Saitama fight with Boros was from 2015 not 2016.

Anyway, the video editing and compilation from Anime Productions is tightly put together. I don’t really think the Naruto fight was that epic, and the show had a tendency of drawing out their fights with less than epic animations and techniques, but I’m sure the fanboys disagree.
