Capcom finally revealed the release date for the eighth gen re-release of Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3. You can look to pick up a digital copy of the game on the PS4, Xbox One and on PC starting March 7th, 2017 for $24.99.
The game will also receive a limited physical re-release on the PS4 and Xbox One for $29.99.
The news was rolled out over on the official Capcom Unity blog, where they mentioned that the physical versions of the PS4 and Xbox One release will contain everything from the previously released versions of the game along with an updated cover and an exclusive bundled in comic featuring artwork from Sean Chen and Gerardo Sandoval. The 10-page comic will only be available in limited release alongside the limited physical iterations of the Xbox One and PS4 versions.
Steam gamers will also get to enjoy the game as well, as it will feature all of the previously released DLC for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and it will also sport native 1080p and 60fps right out of the box.
Whether or not there will be additional graphics upgrades, such as higher resolution textures or higher quality models, remains to be seen given that they have not revealed the system requirements for the game… yet.
March is certainly shaping up to be a blockbuster month, especially given that there’s going to be Mass Effect: Andromeda releasing, the Nintendo Switch, and tons of other titles across the broad spectrum of gaming platforms.
Despite January’s lethargically crippled start when it comes to quality software offerings, March will be the month that more than makes up for it during the first quarter of 2017. This is also a great way for Capcom to introduce gamers to some of the cast of characters and thematic elements of the Marvel vs Capcom series leading up to the release of Marvel Vs Capcom: Infinite.
