The derpy vendor is back to scam and con high level players who have nothing else really to do, as for newcomers and intermediate players they will have some stuff to look over in Xur’s February 24th inventory. Bungie’s Destiny is out now for PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One.
Just as a heads up for endgame players avoid derpy Xur altogether, unless you want Three of Coins or Heavy Ammo Synth. If you are new to the game or a little well versed you will find some of Xur’s inventory to be useful.
As of this week derpy Xur can be found in the Vanguard Hall, waiting to con anyone… I mean, help those who have valuable resources for him. Once the true derp is found he is holding exotic armor that is just alright. He’s got the Claws of Ahamkara gauntlets for Warlocks, the Twilight Garrison armor for Titans, and the Celestial Nighthawk helmet for Hunters. Out of the three only the Twilight Garrison and Celestial Nighthawk are good for new or intermediate players.
As for the weapon that derpy Xur has this week is the Hawkmoon, which isn’t too bad. After the buff it received makes it better than before, so in other words, your mileage may vary depending on your playstyle with this weapon.
Anyways, the guy who is trying to rekindle his desire for Destiny (and who doesn’t care that he doesn’t care for the game anymore), better known as Datto, has a video guide for you to look over.
If you want to know the pricing for each weapon or exotic item a bulleted list sits below for you to look over:
- (Titan Armor) Twilight Garrsion — 13 Strange Coins
- (Hunter Helmet) Celestial Nighthawk — 13 Strange Coins
- (Warlock Gauntlets) Claws of Ahamkara — 13 Strange Coins
- (Hand Cannon) Hawkmoon — 23 Strange Coins
- (Engram) Legacy Helmet — 29 Strange Coins
The part that most people come to these guides for, TL;DR. If you are a vet skip the drunken con-man altogether, unless you want Three of Coins or Heavy Ammo Synths. Guardians that are new to the game can look forward to Twilight Garrison, Celestial Nighthawk, Hawkmoon, Three of Coins and Heavy Ammo Synths when browsing through Xur’s inventory.
Destiny is out now for PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One. Rise of Iron is only available for PS4 and Xbox One.
