One of the rare mounts in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is called The Lord of the Mountain. It’s a unicorn looking mount with a weird face, white skin and antennas that look like a horn. Anyway, if you want to get your hands on this rare mount, there’s a walkthrough guide to help you out.
YouTuber Jayjay1k has a quick three minute video showing you where you can find it. You can check out the video below.
So first of all, you’ll need to get to the location. It’s in Hyrule, west of the Hyrule Field, and south of the Hyrule Ridge. More approximately, the location is south of the Tamio River, and northeast of Rutile Lake. It’s west of the Nima Plain road top the peak of Satori Mountain.
You’ll find it grazing in a glowing field. You can see where you need to go by checking out the image below, which has the location marked.
One of the things that he does in the video is shoot a bomb arrow nito the thicket, which causes lots of rupees to drop. The Lord of the Mountain will respawn and you can hop atop its back.
You will have to work hard to tame the Lord of the Mountain, specifically by using the “Soothe” feature repeatedly.
You can see how to tame the Lord of the Mountain with a video demonstration by games.Volume.at.
Once you get the mount, you can now travel through Hyrule in style.
Take note, however, you are not able to store this particular mount in the stables. This means that if you lose it, it’s gone for good. The only way to get it back is to go back to the location and re-tame it.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is available right now for the Wii U and the Nintendo Switch.
