Destiny’s “special” vendor, Xur, has surfaced once again, letting Guardians from around the galaxy barter with him… if they can find him. Destiny is currently out right now and is available across PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One.
Looking for derpy Xur this week? You’ll find him in the Reef, in the usual place by the locked door in the corner. Sadly, I don’t think Xur is smart enough to hide away from players in different spots when it comes to the Reef… but oh well.
The derpy vendor’s exotic items this week consists of the Bones of Eao boots for Hunters, the Heart of Praxic Fire chest piece for Warlocks and the ACD/0 Feedback Fence gauntlets for Titans. The only thing from Xur’s list of exotic armor that is worth picking up is the Hunter boots that allow for wielders to gain an extra jump.
Looking over to the weapon that Xur has up for offer this week comes the Auto Rifle named Hard Light. Hard Light is known for bullets to ricochet off of surfaces. However, the weapon is not recognized to perform well in both PvE or PvP, so it’s best as a collector’s weapon.
Like always, Mesa Sean has a video guide showing Xur’s inventory and what exotic items do what and what is the best item this week.
A bulleted list sits below showing all of the exotic items and their pricing:
- (Titan Gauntlets) ACD/0 Feedback Fence – 13 Strange Coins
- (Hunter Boots) Bones of Eao – 13 Strange Coins
- (Warlock Chest Piece) Heart of Praxic Fire – 13 strange Coins
- (Auto Rifle) Hard Light – 23 Strange Coins
- (Legacy Engram) Special Weapon – 31 Strange Coins
TL;DR: You can pretty much pass on everything if you want. The only thing that is worth picking up is the Hunter boots, but for those who are looking for something else can opt for the Heavy Ammo Synths or Three of Coins. It’s advised to skip the bundles — unless you are hard up for them.
Destiny is out now for PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One. The expansion known as Rise of Iron is available for Xbox One and PS4.
