With support for up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM, the ability to attach four external display units to it, a 15.6” FHD display with native 1920 x 1080 resolution output on a 16:9 panel, and clocking in at only an inch thick, the Origin Eon15-S series is designed to provide gamers with a high-end gaming experience while on the go, all for under $999.99.
The company announced that the new gaming laptop, featuring up to six hours of battery-life while unplugged, is available right now from participating outlets.
Kevin Wasielewski the CEO and co-founder of Oorigin PC CEO, mentioned in the press release what they were aiming for with this particular brand of gaming laptop, saying…
“For many years ORIGIN PC has wanted to offer a customizable laptop with a great gaming experience and premium support that doesn’t sacrifice quality and starts at a more accessible price point.”
“Our new EON15-S laptop is a breakthrough product offering high-performance gaming, 6 hours of battery life, and 24/7 US based lifetime support all for just $999.”
The laptop offers scalability for sure.
You can choose between an Intel i3 dual-core at 3GHz or go for something beastly with an Intel i7 quad-core at 2.8GHz. They have memory options ranging from 8GB to 32GB between 2133MHz and 2666MHz, as well as hard-drive and SSD drive options ranging from 120GB up to 2TB. They also have a “no dead pixel” guarantee with a free warranty for up to 45 days, and a paid warranty for 90 days.
It’s funny because Nintendo’s Switch suffered from some dead pixels out of the gate, and they simply hand-waved the situation away (although they did offer to repair units at a customer’s request). In this case, Origin wants to make sure you’re not dealing with dead pixels right out of the gate.
