A couple of reports have been indicating that Call of Duty: WW2 could make its way to the Nintendo Switch. There were some frivolous ties to the development of the game possibly being on the Switch via a photo that port house Beenox posted to their social media accounts featuring them with the Canadian army and t-shirts of Call of Duty: WW2. Of course that obviously doesn’t mean much, but some read into it thinking that since Beenox had previously ported various other Activision games from the other home consoles to the Wii U, they could be in charge of porting Call of Duty: WW2 to the Nintendo Switch. That’s a long shot.

But that wasn’t the only piece of evidence that has been circulating around.

PVP Live discovered that you can link your console of choice to the Call of Duty official website. This is presumably in preparation for the upcoming beta test they have planned.

Activision and Sledgehammer Games noted that Call of Duty: WW2 was only going to have a beta on the Xbox One and PS4, but surely maybe they have something special in mind for Nintendo Switch owners if they’re encouraging them to link their home console account to the game’s website?

Activision doesn’t have their own E3 press conference, so it’s not like linking the account to the site would prep for the E3 conference, and as pointed out by other websites like GameZone, even though Activision updated the site to remove the link, it’s still available in the website’s code.

Additionally, if you thought that this is a feature present for every Call of Duty game, think again. According to VG 24/7 this website feature was not present for the Wii U for the release of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare since Activision did not release the game on Nintendo’s home console.

So obviously, why would they let you link your console to the site unless they had plans to make use of it? I guess we’ll find out if there’s really anything to it when E3 rolls around and Nintendo pumps out their Nintendo Direct.
