Looking for Xur and what exotic items he’s selling this week? Hopefully this guide to his location and inventory will help you out. Bungie’s Destiny is out now for PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One.
Xur isn’t as derpy for newcomers and intermediate players this week, but he’s still derpy for those who’ve reached endgame status or have good gear on hand. With that said, this guide is more geared toward Guardians who are new or have been playing a little longer than a fledgling Guardian.
Furthermore, players will be able to barter with the exotic trader by heading to Tower North. From here, head to the Speaker’s location and you should see Xur right near a gigantic door in the dark where he has setup shop.
Xur’s inventory reflects the Helm of Saint-14 helmet for Titans, the ATS/8 Arachnid helmet for Hunters, and The Ram helmet for Warlocks. I should note that all three are not bad for newcomers and intermediate players, however you should re-roll them to try to get better stats/perks — but that’s optional.
Moreover, there’s no doubt that the Hereafter Sniper Rifle is a niche weapon, which stands to be Xur’s exotic weapon of the week. The Hereafter is an Arc-based weapon that can blind nearby foes when obtaining a head shot. The sniper weapon is more of a novelty item more than a reliable hard hitting rifle like some of the other guns in its class.
Below is a visual guide detailing all of the above stuff, and more, which comes in by Mesa Sean.
Here’s a list of all the pricing for each exotic armor and weapon included:
- (Titan Helmet) Helm of Saint-14 – 13 Strange Coins
- (Hunter Helmet) ATS/8 Arachnid – 13 Strange Coins
- (Warlock Helmet) The Ram – 13 Strange Coins
- (Sniper Rifle) Hereafter – 23 Strange Coins
- (Legacy Engram) Heavy Weapon – 31 Strange Coins.
TL;DR: Everything on Xur’s list is something that endgame players can skip, however if you are new the armor items are worth checking out especially if you plan to re-roll them. Skip the Hereafter Sniper Rifle and the Legacy Engram, but do consider buying Heavy Ammo Synths and Three of Coins. As for the Weapon Bundles do look them over carefully, unless you are sure you want to buy one of the two.
Destiny is out now for PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One. As for the expansion known as Rise of Iron it is only out for the latter two platforms.
