Xur has arrived and can be found in the Tower, allowing Guardians to barter and trade their rare resources in exchange for exotic items. Bungie’s first-person looter shooter, Destiny, is out now for PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One.
Guardians will be able to find Xur this weekend in the Eastern part of the Tower, where his exact location stands to be located past Eris Morn and in the room with each of the three class mentors. Right near the right side of the wall you will find Xur standing and waiting to trade you his goods… if you want to call them goods.
The exotic armor in Xur’s inventory sees the Empyrean Bellicose helmet for Titans, the Crest of Alpha Lupi chest piece for Hunters, and the Stag helmet for Warlocks available for purchase. I should note that if you aren’t new to the game just skip the whole armor set.
As for the exotic weapons and bundles this time around sees the former weapon come in as the Telesto (Fusion Rifle), while the latter weapon bundles as the Monte Carlo (Auto Rifle) and its Superspy ornament and the Red Death (Pulse Rifle) and its White Witch ornament as purchasable items. Skip out on the bundles and buy the Telesto if you haven’t already.
Below is a video guide that Mesa Sean has up on his YouTube channel.
Below lies a bulleted list showing Xur’s items in his inventory this week:
- (Titan Helmet) Empyrean Bellicose – 13 Strange Coins
- (Hunter Chest Piece) Crest of Alpha Lupi – 13 Strange Coins
- (Warlock Helmet) The Stag – 13 Strange Coins
- (Fusion Rifle) Telesto – 23 Strange Coins
- (Legacy Engram) Special Weapon – 31 Strange Coins
TL;DR: Skip everything besides the Telesto unless you already have it in your inventory. The only other optional items worth picking up are Three of Coins and Heavy Ammo Synths.
Destiny is currently available for PS3, Xbox 360, PS4 and Xbox One. The expansion known as Rise of Iron is only available for PS4 and Xbox One.
