Foxhole Beginner’s Guide: Basic Tips For New Players

Foxhole is an MMO top-down shooter game where players battle each other in a persistent online war. If you are new and looking for a tutorial or tips for beginners, hopefully this guide will be of use. Clapfoot’s Foxhole is out now for PC via Steam Early Access.

Notice: Some notations and features regarding Foxhole are subject to changing in the full release and may not reflect the same intended purpose as featured at the time of this guide. Due to the demand of new players searching for a guide in relation to Foxhole, many requests were made and hopefully this guide will be of use. However, do keep in mind that the game is in Early Access and might feature new or different content in future updates.

The alternate World War game, Foxhole, sees different nations clashing in hopes to dominate the other opposing side, which calls for both big and small units to execute either side’s plan. This is where you the player step in. Now before jumping into any pointers or videos, you should read over Steam user Adyian’s guide for beginners and [PUG] lercas‘ link guide.

Moreover, written content about a game will only get you so-far until a visual or hands-on experience comes to fruition. Additionally, the first video guide comes in by ConnMovieMakers, who teaches basic controls, actions and other useful tips.

The next video guide explores similar actions as seen above, but the video below by KrazyFlyinChicken covers basic machinations of the game, including resource gathering, base-building, logistics and combat.

It’s good to keep in mind that it’s not always about killing a lot of counterparts, but hitting the opposite force through supply lines, routing the enemy by disrupting a fortified area, and sabotaging mechanized transport routes to hinder reinforcements. In other words, disrupting the flow of your counterpart is just as essential as picking them off one-by-one.

Foxhole is currently available to play over on Steam Early Access.
