The EX re-release of Sine Mora will make its way to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on August 8th.
Sine Mora EX is an amped up version of the original, and THQ Nordic aannounced that it features the original story mode, the added arcade mode, and the all new 16:9 aspect ratio in addition to the standard 16:10 ratio. The full English voice-overs will make a return as well, along with the original Hungarian voices, too.
New to the Sine Mora EX version are the three new versus modes, including the race mode, tanks and dodgeball. New challenge levels have also been added along with enhanced resolution and increased resolution for all versions of the game, including the Nintendo Switch version of Sine Mora EX, where there’s a video highlighting the game’s co-op play on Nintendo’s new console.
To see the actual difference between the Nintendo Switch version and the old PS3 version, Youtuber Cycu1 did a quick two minute comparison between both versions of the game.
You can easily see how the Switch version has cleaner resolution, better textures and obviously smoother speeds. Some people made the obvious argument that a game released on a console made a decade later should look better than a console game from a decade ago.
Of course, the one thing that separates the PC and PS4 Pro versions of Sine Mora EX and the other standard versions is that according to THQ Nordic the game will run at native 4K on PC and PS4 Pro. Not only will the game be native 4K but it will also run at 60 frames per second. Obviously it makes you wonder if this will be true native 4K or if it will be checkerboarded on the PlayStation 4 Pro?
Anyway, the PS4 and Xbox One versions will launch on August 8th, but the Nintnedo Switch version will launch at a later, unannounced date.
