If you are looking to take down or destroy two airplanes in the latest mission objective introduced into Battlefield 1 through the “In the Name of the Tsar” DLC in order to get the Low Weight variant of the MG 14/17 Parabellum, this guide aims to help you do so with ease. EA and DICE Battlefield 1 is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
There happens to be a lot of players trying to get one of the fasts firing LMGs (light machine guns) in Battlefield 1, which happens to be that of the Low Weight variant of the MG 14/17 Parabellum. The weapon will more than likely be used as much as the Assault class Automatico M1918 and Hellriegel 1915 due to its high RoF (rate of fire) topping off around 700 rounds per minute.
The real life counterpart was used on planes of the “Deutsche Luftstreitkräfte” or German air-force, and stood to be a redesign of the MG08. To obtain BF1’s adaptation of said weapon, preferably the Light Wight version that’s stirring up quite the controversy, one must destroy two airplanes with LMGs and then perform 20 kills with the Mortar Air-burst to get a hold of said weapon.

A Simple Yet Effective Way
The most effective way to obtain the new weapon is to find an AA gun, weaken a plane and then mount off it and finish it off with a weapon like the MG15 N.A., M1909 Benet-Mercie, or whatever weapon of choice in the Support class to do the trick.
Stationary machine guns can do the trick, too, in that if you weaken a plane you can abruptly stop and pull out your LMG and fire at it until it is destroyed. Another method is to unlock the Suppressive version — Perform 40 kills with the Lewis Gun Low Weight, and then perform 50 vehicle repairs — and then fire at weakened planes to speed up the process.
As for mortar kills, simply find a base that is heavily contested and pay attention to your mini map, drop ammo and fire in a general area where you might think enemies are headed. Game modes like Operations, Front-lines, Supply Drop and Conquest are good places to start.
