I wish this came in a physical pack because I would pick it up in an instance. I hate having to pay for DLC on home console releases, even though I love SNK for having added Ryuji Yamazaki to the game. But you see… there’s this lingering feeling where you know that one day the PSN servers could go kaput, or your PSN profile could implode, or your digitally purchased content will one day no longer be accessible.
There’s never that fear with a physical copy.
I never wake up in the middle of the night drenched in a cold sweat wondering if my collection of games – stacked up neatly in a row with their discs tucked neatly inside – would one day become inaccessible. I know and trust that physical copies will never stop working.
Anyway, the King of Fighters XIV Special Anniversary Edition is available right now, exclusively on PC. The game comes with 54 fighters, up to six-player online team battles, an all new MAX mode to master and new super special moves to utilize, including the new Climax Cancel ability.
King of Fighters XIV is availability right now on Steam as well for $60, while the deluxe edition that contains all the additional DLC is available for $74.99.
