Some PS4 Pro users have run into some issues with Destiny 2, so much so that every couple of minutes they find themselves dealing with the system freezing or hanging up on them. Things recently escalated to the point where a forum thread about the issue over on the official Bungie website blew up and featured lots of gamers reporting the same problems across their PS4 Pro units.
Originally a Bungie community manager popped in to inform those having troubles on PS4 that the issue would be looked into. Well, Sony has now chimed in and has mentioned through the Ask PlayStation support outlet that they are indeed working with Bungie to resolve the issue on PS4 Pro units.
We’re aware that some Destiny 2 users have seen crash issues on PS4 Pro. We and Bungie are working to resolve, thanks for your patience.

Some people in the thread also pointed out that the issue isn’t just happening with Destiny 2, but that they are also running into problems with other games on the PS4 Pro, such as Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Some suggestions coming in ranged from shutting down the HDCP to putting the PS4 Pro into Safe Mode and attempting to troubleshoot the problem from there.
The crazy part about it is that these are the kind of issues most people have with PC games. It’s amazing because so often we hear console gamers talk about the benefits of console gaming and how they don’t have to deal with troubleshooting, hardware issues, and configuring the console to play games. And yet, here we see that people have to troubleshoot problems, find hardware issues and configure the console to play games.
Anyway, PS4 Pro owners will basically have to wait it out until a patch arrives. One user in the forum thread suggested activating port forwarding on the router for the PS4 Pro and it helped resolve his issue. Others, however, are still dealing with Destiny 2 hanging up and giving them a black screen every couple of minutes.
