505 Games and Roll7 have announced that a new Laser League closed beta test is set to get underway this upcoming weekend on December 15th. Ahead of the closed beta test, the company reached out to One Angry Gamer for a free Steam key giveaway for the latest round of closed beta testing.

We have 50 Laser League keys to giveaway. How do you get the keys? It’s oh-so-simple, just follow the instructions below:

1 – Head to the official One Angry Gamer Facebook page.
2 – Like the One Angry Gamer Facebook page.
3 – Request a Laser League beta key via message or post on the OAG page.
4 – Retrieve the key using Steam.

You’ll receive your key and will be able to hop into the game. In order to retrieve the key you can do so by opening up the Steam client and clicking on the option to add a game to your library.

If you have no idea what Laser League is about, there’s a trailer available showcasing the Tron-inspired multiplayer sports game in action, powered by none other than Epic’s Unreal Engine 4.

The video is from back when Roll7 was promoting the game at E3 2017. It covers how the gameplay operates, and how the competitive aspects work in this arcade-themed PvP game.

The real highlight here is how well the arcade elements tie into the neon-futuristic aesthetics that seems to combine classic paddle-based arcade designs with whole digital cyber-world motif. It’s a highly under-utilized aesthetic that only ever pops up in indie games every once in a while, like Ruiner or Neon Drive.

As for the closed beta getting underway this weekend, which will run from December 15th through December 17th, there will be some new content included in the beta, along with a few modes and match types to help test the performance and stability of the game ahead of the Early Access run, which is scheduled to get underway in early 2018.
