Dynasty Warriors 9 Trailers Reveal Sun Shangxiang, Zhang He, And Pang Tong

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have revealed a new set of playable officers in the realm of Dynasty Warriors 9 through five action trailers. The musou fighting game is set to launch in early February for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

If you want to see the latest officers in action like Sun Shangxiang, Zhang He, Ma Dai, Pang Tong, and Guo Huai, Dynasty Warriors 9 newly posted action trailers features said playable officers.

First up comes the daughter of Sun Jian, Sun Shangxiang. The younger sister of Wu’s Sun Ce and Sun Quan, she was known as the “Princess of the Bow” due to her beauty and her proficiency with a bow. In the series of Dynasty Warriors games she is often seen with two chakrams, and there’s no exception to that with her latest appearance in the upcoming game.

Regarded as one of the Five Generals of Wei, Zhang He was heavily skilled in military arts, literature, and music. Sporting a well-mannered behavior as a general, he also reflected a unique side not commonly seen among his peers.

Ma Dai and his mighty cousin Ma Chao went on to serve Shu after their home town succumbed to Cao Cao’s conquest. The cheerful Ma Dai was said to have earned Zhuge Liang’s trust, granting him the position to be responsible over several vital battles with Wei.

The strange and eccentric Pang Tong or “Fledgling Phoenix” was not only weird at times, he was also a brilliant military tactician who studied under the same master as Zhuge Liang. Often speaking the truth, Pang Tong helped Shu many times with his firm insight on any conflict.

Guo Huai was in debt to Xiahou Yuan and Sima Yu, and later became an  officer of Wei. Active in a lot of battles against Shu, his sickly health did not stop him from proving his value on the battlefield. Guo Huai joins the ranks of Jin in Dynasty Warriors 9, and can be seen below.

Dynasty Warriors 9 is due out for PS4 on February 8th in Japan, and for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on February 13th in the West.
