EA Announces Next Battlefield Game To Release Q3 Of 2018

The new Battlefield game launch window has been confirmed; it’s due to drop sometime in the third quarter of fiscal year 2018 (between October 1st and December 31st) for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. This falls in line with Battlefield 1’s 2016 release. This information was disclosed during EA’s quarterly earnings conference call.

With rumors floating around that the next Battlefield game will be set during the second tumultuous world war, EA has officially announced during its quarterly earnings conference call that the next installment is due for an October 1st through December 31st, 2018 launch.

It is said that during the company’s quarterly earnings call conference that both EA and DICE are really excited about how the next Battlefield is shaping up. It was also noted by EA that it doesn’t make sense to launch Anthem next to the upcoming Battlefield game, since it’s a brand new IP.

EA continued on about Anthem and Battlefield and said that it would be better to give the former game its own launch window, in order to give it some “free air”.

If you don’t know (but don’t take this as literal fact, though) it was said by Almightydaq that this year’s Battlefield will be set during WW2, while a year or two after this game will come Battlefield Bad Company 3. Although all of the aforementioned is speculation, Almightydaq track record is very solid due to a video detailing all of Battlefield 1′s features before it launched.

Looking away from the rumor side of things, during the Fall of this year EA was to release Anthem. It was said to launch sometime later this year, but it has now been pushed into early 2019 and Battlefield will be the game to launch this Fall.

Lastly, factual information on the upcoming Battlefield game are scarce. In any case, what era would you like to see this year’s Battlefield visit?
