Halo 6 development seems to be going rather well, as of this moment, according to franchise development director Frank O’Connor. He was asked about both the development of Halo 6 and the latest stage in said game, and answered both questions via social media.
Microsoft and 343 Industries’ Halo 6 is believed to release across the latest Xbox family of consoles, which will likely include the standard Xbox One, the Xbox One S and Xbox One X. While we’re not sure what the plot will be like or what changes will be made to the gameplay, what is for certain is that development is going well.
In addition to the above, it was confirmed previously that development was going well by head of 343 Industries Bonnie Ross, but now it seems that work has been persistent and with much dedication, with Frank O’Connor saying that it’s diligent.

Diligently.

Given that fans knew O’Connor was in the mood to share, more replies came in to query him about the game’s development. Twitter user Jester Jay questioned how the latest stage in Halo 6 is coming along, which O’Connor replied “Default texture gray.”
Default texture gray.

If you don’t know, it takes EA and DICE to fix a new Battlefield 1 map for gray box testing a month or so. Early this month two maps in Battlefield 1 weren’t even textured and now have textures, and will be ready to ship sometime this month.
In other words, if 343 Industries knows what they’re doing they should be able to finish the map in question later this month or in February, assuming DICE’s method of building maps is any indication to go by.
One question the Halo community brings up quite a bit is the story and if it will take a turn for the worse, mirroring that of Halo 5. No answers have been given yet by 343 Industries, so eager fans will have to wait and see how the story will turn out.
While we wait for Halo 6 to gain a launch date, you can take a shot at O’Connor and see if he’ll answer a question about Halo 6 by heading on over to his Twitter account.
