Monster Hunter World Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto Explains Long PC Delay

Want to know why the PC version of Monster Hunter World will take so long to come out and why the PS4 and Xbox One versions are nearly ready? Monster Hunter World producer Ryozo Tsujimoto explains the long PC delay time.

The long stretch that is Monster Hunter World PC version compared to its home console variants is undeniably long. Fans who look to mod or play the giant monster slaying, action-adventure RPG will have to wait until Autumn of this year to snag a copy, while those on PS4 and Xbox One are set to get a taste of the game around two weeks time.

According to publication site PCGamer we learn the supposed reason as to why through Monster Hunter World’s producer Ryozo Tsujimoto.

The publication site notes Tsujimoto saying that “Monster Hunter World is the development team’s first PC game,” and that “considerations tied to PC servers and matchmaking have caused the game to be pushed back.”

You can read Tsujimoto explanation regarding the aforesaid here:

“For the main Monster Hunter game, this is our first PC title and it’s something we want to make sure we get right. So rather than have it taking up resources during the console development and not it not being able to have our full attention on it. We want to get console out the door and then we’re going to take some extra time and try and get the PC version as good as possible.”

He, Tsujimoto, went on to explain that…

“There’s extra work you need for PC as well. On console you use first party matchmaking, you just kind of plug into it, whether it’s PSN or Xbox Live, but on PC we’re going to have to work more to get our own matchmaking working. So, hopefully, PC users won’t mind waiting a little bit longer for us to bring you a really great optimised PC experience.”

Lastly, Tsujimoto made mention back in November 2017 that he and Capcom would not add loot-boxes or microtransactions into the game, which made fans very happy. However will they please fans or upset them with this move of a delayed PC version of Monster Hunter World?
