Activision Confirms Call Of Duty 2018 Will Be Developed By Treyarch

During Activision Blizzard investor relation (IR) report the company has confirmed rumors about Treyarch developing the Call of Duty game due for release in 2018. The first-person shooter is billed to release during Q4 2018, which sets its launch window between October through December.

According to publication site GameSpot we learn that Treyarch studios will be over this year’s Call of Duty game, which confirms early rumors about the game to be under development by Treyarch and to release this year.

Treyarch even released a new tweet after Activision Blizzard released its investor relation news through investor.activision.com, which is pretty much the same words as Activision Blizzard had noted during the report. You can read the tweet below.

Looking over to Activision Blizzard prepared remarks, the next iteration of Call of Duty: Black Ops series of games will release Q4 of this year, and will be developed by Treyarch.

If you don’t know what is under Tryarch’s belt, the company happens to be the ones behind the 2015 iteration known as Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. The company also released previous Black Ops games and other Call of Duty titles, too.

According to the publication site Call of Duty games are said to be announced during April or May (Spring) and are usually further detailed when major game events roll around like E3 2018.

If the second part of the rumor stands to be true we should hear sometime soon about Treyarch working on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, which will be a modern shooter.

With EA and DICE set to release Battlefield 2018 during the fourth quarter of this year, fans of either series will surely find themselves once again in the middle, but there’s no telling how either game will turn out at launch.
