Fear The Wolves, Battle Royale Game Features 100 Players And Is Set In Chernobyl

Focus Home Interactive and Vostok Games announced that a new Battle Royale survival game is in the works for PC, PS4 and Xbox One called Fear The Wolves. The new action shooter is due for release at some point later into 2018.

If Vostok Games sounds familiar to you it’s because they’re the developers who previously worked on S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and its less than successful follow-up, Survarium.

According to the press release, the game will receive its full unveiling between today or tomorrow on February 8th as part of Focus Home Interactive’s press event in Paris, France.

Fear The Wolves will be a first-person shooter themed around the Battle Royale concept, where players will drop into an open sandbox map either in squads or solo, where the radiation-filled environments of Chernobyl will work as the playground.

Much like PUBG Corporation’s PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Fear The Wolves will feature 100 players in the arenas, and it will be a battle until only the last man is standing.

There’s also going to be a second game mode that will add a “twist to the genre”, but the press release doesn’t say what it is.

While the game is supposed to release on PC and home consoles in 2018, it will first enter into Early Access on Steam for PC first and foremost. How long it’ll stay in Early Access? No word on that just yet. Expect those details to drop during the press event in Paris this week.

This is yet another new Battle Royale game to join the likes of other recently announced or released Battle Royale games, such as the Islands of Nyne, or Rules of Survival

You can keep an eye on further updates or announcements by dropping by the official Vostok Games website. And also, expect a gameplay trailer sometime later this week.
