This information about Astaroth possibly making his way into the ranks of Soul Calibur VI roster should be taken with a grain of salt, however a new tweet by Soul Calibur VI producer Motohiro Okubo could suggest otherwise.
Notice: The following information has not been confirmed by Bandai Namco or Soul Calibur VI producer Motohiro Okubo, meaning that this information on Astaroth should be taken as a rumor and with a grain of salt, until other official information proves otherwise.
If you don’t know, Motohiro Okubo posts or shares things on his Twitter account in relation to what’s going on with Bandai Namco, Soul Calibur or fighting games. In other words, if a tournament is going on he’ll post or retweet something related to tournaments, same applies to holidays like valentines day.
In addition to the above, Okubo keeps things consistent on his Twitter page that usually have a direct meaning to an upcoming reveal or a shout out/thank you notice to fans.
We can see this with retweeted images regarding the newly revealed Queen, Ivy, in two images showing off her new attire in much detail at the top of his feed.
A rather particular image retweeted by Okubo happens to be sandwiched between the voluptuous fan artwork of Ivy, and it’s none other than Astaroth. This is quite strange given that Ivy was released with Zasalamel and not Astaroth.
You can look over the image of Astoroth that Okubo retweeted below.
@achilles_Okubo Astaroth…will you be my friend?! pic.twitter.com/A2jbG4cvB9

All of this could be a red herring and Okubo could just be recognizing fan art from around the web, but it is a bit strange that it’s fan art of a character that hasn’t even been officially confirmed to be in Soul Calibur VI roster.
What is interesting is that leaker DasVergeben has noted that Astaroth will be in the game, but what do you think? Is this a hint by Okubo or no?
