CD Projekt Red Wrocław Studio Will Help With Cyberpunk 2077 Development

Cyberpunk 2077 development and other titles currently in the works by CD Projekt Red will receive an extra helping hand thanks to the opening of the new Wrocław studio. This studio is composed of ex-developers from Dying Light, Hitman, The Witcher series, Call of Juarez series, and more.

CD Projekt Red recently published a Wrocław introductory post and followed it up with a tweet, which stands as a recruitment notice for the studio in question:

According to Adam Kiciński, President and Joint CEO of CD Projekt Red, he noted that…

“Wrocław is one of the biggest and most technologically advanced cities in Poland and a playing field for serious creative talent. I think the scope of our current and future projects, as well as the overall package we’re bringing in, will pull in people who were hesitant to move to Warsaw or Cracow.”

Kiciński continued and said:

“The founding dev team of CDPR Wrocław is already pretty stellar, but I still can’t wait to see what talents we’ll discover in new people along the way.”

The Wrocław-based studio is said to consist of 18 talented industry veteran developers from Strange New Things. Additionally, this includes Paweł Zawodny, Head of Studio, who expressed the following:

“We’re pretty hyped to be on the spearhead of this new office. We know Wrocław inside out and it’s an amazing place to make games. The team is strong, and I’m sure we have both the experience and the creative firepower to make Cyberpunk 2077 an even better game.”

According to Adam Badowski, Game Director for Cyberpunk 2077 and Head of CD Projekt Red, he stated that…

“Aside from their immense technological knowledge and artistic flair, the core team of CD PROJEKT RED Wrocław are just great people.”

Badowski continued and added:

“CD PROJEKT RED is not a typical game developer — we put gamers, creative freedom and quality games above making business. These guys not only share this approach, but, much like the rest of the team, think that this attitude is essential to creating epic video games.”

On the topic of CD Projekt Red and Cyberpunk 2077, back on March 1st, 2017, Polish 3D car designer from Breshke Design, Paweł Czyżewska, is helping the company with Cyberpunk 2077 as a Senior Concept Vehicle Designer.

Still employed at CD Projekt Red, Czyżewska later posted on Facebook the following image.

Given Czyżewska’s position and the studio expansion to help with Cyberpunk 2077 suggests a 2020 or later release, much like with SIE and Bend Studio’s Days Gone delay after Senior positions popped up.

Cyberpunk 2077 will release when it’s done.
