Open Discussion: April 15th, 2018

The third Open Discussion for the month of April has arrived. If you have no clue, this series is all about discussing old, current and new stuff happening around the world. You can post up anything that you like about video games, movies, TV shows or other forms of media and will face no censorship when doing so. This series of discussions changes every week, however it mainly focuses around video games.

Every Sunday a new Open Discussion appears on this site and explores a variety of topics and sometimes topics outside video game culture.

If a comment of yours has disappeared and cannot be seen by other commenters, please do let us know so that we can address the situation and restore your comment back. Additionally, like any other post on this site, no form of censorship will be applied, which means that you can talk about anything without facing any problems.

With that said, this Open Discussion is about linear games Vs. open world games and which game genre do you prefer? In other words, What’s your thoughts on games that provide a linear or straight forward experience compared to games that offer spacious worlds to explore? If you want you can explain why you hate or why you love both types of games.

In addition to the above, you can discuss what you think linear games need in order to stay alive in today’s industry, and what will allow them to stay alive in the future, and what you think helps open world games strive and remain fresh and relevant.

As of course, and like any other Open Discussion, if you have something else on your mind and wish to share it you are free to post it up right here. This means that content unrelated to this very topic can be shared without being moved to another section or taken down.

And here’s a blast from the past, with the intro and theme song from Snatcher.
