Ex-Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Devs Form Neon Giant

According to a new report, it is said that the developers who worked on Bulletstorm, Gears of War, and, their most recent work, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, will open up a new studio named Neon Giant sometime soon.

Publication site gamesindustry.biz has reported that after “successful work” on Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, some of the developers behind it have a new studio that will be announced soon named Neon Giant.

In addition to the above, Neon Giant will have investor support from Goodbye Kansas, who will be providing funds as well as creative, technical, and business support to Swedish developers. Additionally, the company will not only help Neon Giant but other studios including Tarhead, Palindrome Interactive, and Fall Damage.

Moreover, Neon Giant, according to the publication site, was founded by Tor Frick, Arcade Berg, Jonathan Heckley, and Erik Gloersen. The four devs together are noted to have over 70 years of development experience under their belt, but time will tell how everything will pan out game design wise.

Furthermore, the team is reported to be working on their first project under the moniker of Neon Giant, which they hope to show and discuss very soon.

There’s no telling what the project(s) will be until the time of reveal, but we do know from the publication site that the backing from Goodbye Kansas will supposedly help Neon Giant to focus “closely on development” instead of “funding or outreach.”

The publication site closes out with the following words from Goodbye Kansas CEO Per-Arne Lundberg, which reads:

“Neon Giant consists of a real dream team that not only has enormous experience, they also have an incredibly efficient working process.

I usually explain that we first and foremost invest in people, no matter how promising their game projects in development are. Neon Giant is a perfect example of this, but they coincidently also have something great in the works – I’m convinced that their first release will be a milestone in Swedish game development.”

The true question is, how much pandering will be in this new game? Enough to fill a swimming pool or the Atlantic Ocean?
