Sega Launches New Mega Drive And Dreamcast Celebration Website

Sega has launched a new website to celebrate its past consoles of the 20th century. The new website acknowledges the Dreamcast’s 20th and Mega Drive’s (or Sega Genesis) 30th anniversaries. Details are scarce as of this moment, but Sega will bring forth more information on the two consoles in the near future.

The Mega Drive or Sega Genesis might hold a special place in your heart, especially with titles like Streets of Rage, Sonic the Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Golden Axe, Gunstar Heroes, Alex Kid, Shinobi, Phantasy Star, and more.

In addition to the above, the Dreamcast might also be something of value to you. Games like Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Jet Set Radio, Space Channel 5, Phantasy Star Online, Chu Chu Rocket, and more are titles that graced the console.

As of now, it looks as if Sega is getting ready to launch something special regarding the two while celebrating their 20th, and 30th anniversaries. The new website featuring the Dreamcast and Mega Drive is said to slowly update with various information on the two systems’ milestones.

Something worth noting is that Sega has announced plans to release a Mega Drive (or Genesis) Mini console. Some fans paying close attention to Sega believe that a potential Dreamcast mini could be right around the corner and that’s what this new anniversary website is for, but no official information on that has surfaced yet.

Whatever happens from here on out, we do know that Sega has plans on expanding the website that reflects both older consoles. The questions behind it all are, will this website detail information on the two from here into the future or will the information on the two lead up to a big announcement?

With all of that said, you can either visit the new website or speculate what you think Sega has planned.
