Capcom To Detail Monster Hunter: World PC Release Date And Specs On July 9th

Are you looking for an announcement of an announcement sometime soon? Well, there’s good news for you in that Capcom will announce the PC version of Monster Hunter: World release date, distribution platform, and minimum specs on July 9th at 9:00 A.M. PT / 12:00 P.M. ET.

The long stretch that is Monster Hunter World’s PC version compared to its home console release is undeniably long. Fans who look to mod or play the giant monster slaying, action-adventure RPG will have to wait until fall of this year to snag a copy, while those on PS4 and Xbox One have the opportunity to play the game right now.

In addition to the above, in two days an announcement of an announcement by Capcom pertaining to Monster Hunter: World’s PC specs and release date will be made and has been teased on Twitter, as seen below:

Way back on January 11th, 2018, we learned from Monster Hunter: World’s producer, Ryozo Tsujimoto, that “Monster Hunter World is the development team’s first PC game,” and that “considerations tied to PC servers and matchmaking have caused the game to be pushed back.” The full explanation that Tsujimoto expressed regarding the PC version can be read over right here:

“For the main Monster Hunter game, this is our first PC title and it’s something we want to make sure we get right. So rather than have it taking up resources during the console development and not it not being able to have our full attention on it. We want to get console out the door and then we’re going to take some extra time and try and get the PC version as good as possible.”

He, Tsujimoto, went on to explain that…

“There’s extra work you need for PC as well. On console you use first party matchmaking, you just kind of plug into it, whether it’s PSN or Xbox Live, but on PC we’re going to have to work more to get our own matchmaking working. So, hopefully, PC users won’t mind waiting a little bit longer for us to bring you a really great optimised PC experience.”

Although PC gamers must wait until this fall to get a hold of Monster Hunter: World, in the next two days more info will come forth via Capcom, so stay tuned.
