No Man’s Sky Next Guide: How To Do The Duplication Glitch After Patch

Many people thought that the duplication glitched stopped working after the patch, but lo and behold you can still duplicate stuff fairly quickly in No Man’s Sky Next. Hello Games’ latest update, Next, is out now across PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Notice: The following duplication method of the older version may be patched in the future and should be acted on now if you want to duplicate more valuable items. As of this writing, the alternate version of the dupe glitch still works (after patch 1.51 and 1.52), but may not after July 28th.

The somewhat new duplication glitch (post patch) is fairly easy to do and requires only one player. The glitch can be used to duplicate normal and high-value items to then be sold.

To do the new version of the dupe glitch, you will need to find a planet, land on it and search for a nice flat surface. Place your refiner down, put the item you want in and put another refiner directly in front of it instead of beside it. It might take some time to find a good place that replicates it every time, but it should work.

You can see the above in action thanks to a YouTuber by the name of Sly3055.

According to Sir Sly here, make sure to get two refineries. Place one and put an item you wish to exploit in it. Place the other as close as you can in front of it — not on the side of it. The item should appear in the one that you just placed. However, the process is a little glitchy, and you’ll have an 80 percent chance of it working every time.

In addition to the above, take the new exploit item and pack up your refineries and repeat the process while laughing all the way to the bank.

No Man’s Sky Next is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
