Fitbit Versa Health and Fitness 2018 Smartwatch Attempts To Undercut Apple Watch

The company Fitbit produces a variety of wearable devices and accessories to assist in healthy lifestyle monitoring. One of its latest smartwatches released in April of this year and it’s called the Fitbit Versa. This lightweight 39mm smartwatch is often compared to resembling the 36mm Apple Watch without the cost. The Apple Watch starts at $329, and for the Apple Watch cellular connection model $399, where as the Fitbit Versa starts at $199.95 and its Special Edition Fitbit Versa $229.95.

The Versa smartwatch is compatible with both the Android and iPhone, and the rounded aluminum casing has a smooth rubber band, with the option of interchangable straps. The LCD color screen display,has a resolution of 300 x 300, demonstrating vibrant colors indoors and great outdoors visibility. Other health and fitness features include a fitness tracker to keep tabs on how many steps are taken daily, distance and calories burned, with a built-in 24/7 heart rate monitor and altimeter, which tracks information about floors climbed and your heart rate. Another great amenity about the Versa is that it also caters toward the needs of both males and females, and the Fitbit Versa has been designed with health tracking options specifically tailored for women, which likely includes pregnancy and other health-related features.

The Versa is also water resistant up to 50 meters and can track swim laps in a pool, as well as monitor your sleep when the device is left on at night. It also allows music playback phone free and you can store up to 300 songs, offering up to 130 apps to choose from, and supports connectivity to Bluetooth for wireless headphones, with up to 4 days of battery life.

The Special Edition Fitbit Versa has a built-in NFC chip for making contactless payments, and it’s available in two colors – Charcoal Woven/Graphite Aluminum, and Lavender Woven/Rose Gold Aluminum, and retails for $229.95. One of the cons about the Versa is that there is no built-in GPS; it has to connect to a smartphone for accurate tracks for walking, hiking, running, and biking.
