For fans highly anticipating the upcoming flight sim from Bandai Namco, there’s some exciting news for you insofar that Thrustmaster has teamed up with Bandai Namco for a T.Flight Hotas flight stick for Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown.
The new flight stick will be compatible with both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.
The joystick was showcased at this year’s GamesCom in Cologne, Germany. The T.Flight Hotas was demonstrated to showcase how it worked with the arcade flying in the Japanese-made combat simulator.
The joystick will be available as a limited edition peripheral, featuring throttle control, an Allen wrench, and come with a specialized user guide and warranty.
The joystick will be compatible with Ace Combat 7 and with other flight sims that are joystick-enabled.
The T.Flight Hotas will be available with Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown launch when it launches on January 18th, 2019 for the Xbox One, PS4, and on February 1st, 2019 for PC.
The news about the T.Flight Hotas arrived with the announcement of the game’s release date, so we at least know when both will be made available.
Unfortunately, details on the pricing were not made available in the press release. So we don’t know how much exactly the new flight stick will run home console and PC gamers.
According to Thrustmaster, details on the pricing and release date will arrive at a later date. I imagine we’ll also get some sort of footage or spec details from Thrustmaster so we know exactly how a joystick-like the T.Flight Hotas is being altered to fit the Xbox One and PS4, and exactly what level of control and precision gamers can expect from its implementation into the core design of Ace Combat 7‘s gameplay mechanics and flight systems.
As mentioned, Bandai Namco’s premier flight sim will launch in mid-January 2019.
