Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is out now for PS4 and PC, and if you are looking to take advantage of a certain spot to gain fast XP, this guide aims to do just that. Square Enix originally released the RPG known as Dragon Quest XI in Japan for the 3DS and PS4 in July 2017, and worldwide for PS4 and PC in September 2018.
I’m sure you’ve found multiple ways to accrue XP, right? Well, if you want to find a method that brings in even more hopefully the two following methods are of use.
The first method sees you heading to Dundrasil Region near the camping spot. Simply engage with the Iron Knights, and sometimes you will come across a group of Metal Slimes.
Critical damage works well on Metal enemies, but if you can’t actuate crit damage reliably, you can dispatch them by using Veronica’s “Kasap” to lower their defense.
Thanks to YouTuber Ashe10, you can see all of the above in action below:
If the above method doesn’t seem all that useful to you, a post-game method to build up your characters levels and XP is up next. Additionally, this method assumes that you have all characters and good skills from the Skills Chart.
Firstly, as noted above, Metal enemies give out more XP. You will need “Haulellujah” (under Pep Powers) to increase XP, Gold, and Battle Rewards. You will also need “Electro Light” so that you can spawn more Metal Slimes (which also spawn Robots).
It’s worth noting that when spawning in Slimes their type will vary depending on level. Lower levels will spawn regular Metal Slimes while being in the higher levels will spawn Liquid Metal Slimes and King Metal Slimes.
