It’s March 10 or, as Nintendo likes to call it, Mar10 Day. That means you’ll be able to take advantage of a week’s worth of deals including discounts on Switch bundles and video games starring the mustachioed hero of the Mushroom Kingdom.
Each year on March 10, Nintendo likes to give their top mascot a little extra time in the spotlight. According to a press release from the publisher, that means fans can expect a handful of Switch deals, including a bundle that lets you pick a game starring Mario himself.
First off, we should probably talk about those games. They include Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Mario Tennis Aces, Super Mario Party and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. Super Smash Bros Ultimate is sadly lacking from that list, but it’s still pretty new game and is currently making money hand over fist, so it’s no surprise Nintendo doesn’t want to discount it just yet. Everything else listed above, though, can be yours for $20 off the normal asking price. You can take advantage of the sale through the Nintendo eShop, while several physical retailers are also in on the promotion. And speaking of the Mar10 Day celebration, it’s running through March 16, so you’ve got a little time to make your purchasing decision.
If you still don’t have a Switch, Nintendo is also sweetening the deal on its latest console with a promotion of its own. At retailers like Walmart, you can bundle a Nintendo Switch with any of the five games listed above for $330. That equates to a discount of about $30, or about half off on the game of your choosing. Not a mind-blowing discount but, if you’re looking to finally join the Switch family, money saved is money saved.
And if that’s you, here’s a little piece of advice: Go ahead and buy the biggest microSD card you can afford. The Switch’s standard hard drive is only like 30GB, and you’re likely to fill that up with a quickness.
