It appears that after all of the backlash, all of the accusations, allegations, and social media witch hunts, the tide is finally turning and it appears voice actor Vic Mignogna is getting some measure of comeuppance against his detractors. A number of conventions announced that the actor will be appearing as a special guest throughout the year.
Twitter user DragonBae_Z confirmed a number of events that Mignogna will be attending, including the Tupelo Comic Con set to take place in Tupelo, Mississippi, between May 4th and May 5th, 2019.

The confirmation of Mignogna’s attendance is also made over on the guest lineup list on the official Tupelo Con website.
DragonBae_Z noted that Vic Mignogna is also possibly scheduled to appear at the Mega Con in Orlando, Florida between May 16th and 19th, 2019. However, she wasn’t able to certify that he would be on the list and that fans would have to really show their support, especially since – according to the MegaCon guest list – Chris Sabbat will be attending, and the way things have gone Sabbat has typically tried keeping his distance from Mignogna.
Coming up really soon! Vic will be at Mega Con in Orlando! If you are in the area definitely check them out and support them! It is still possible for a cancellation so make sure to let them know you want him there. #istandwithvic pic.twitter.com/DHO3Xm7CBk

On the up and up, though, Minnesota lawyer Nick Rekieta did confirm that Mignogna has apparently been invited to the Savannah Comic Con and to Bubba Fest.
Rekieta tweeted out that he found out that the two conventions have invited Mignogna to the events.
What an amazing day. Finished my 24 hour stream at midnight to kick off the day. Took a hefty nap, wake up to Vic being invited to Bubba Fest and apparently Savannah Comic Con
Today I’m splitting up the stream into 2-hour blocks (thanks for that suggestion) and uploading.

This was actually confirmed over on the official Savannah Mega Comic Con 2019 website. The event is set to take place between June 8th and June 9th, 2019 at the Savannah Civic Center in Savannah, Georgia.
The Bubba Fest Facebook page also confirms what Rekieta mentioned, stating on the Facebook page…
“Welcome Vic Mignogna to BUBBA FEST 2019! Vic Mignogna is a veteran voice actor of over 300 animated series and video games including Fullmetal Alchemist, Dragonball Z, RWBY, Ouran Highschool Host Club, Pokémon, Digimon and many more. He is also executive producer and Captain Kirk in the popular award winning live action web series Star Trek Continues!”
The convention is set to take place between August 23rd and August 25th, 2019 at the Knoxville Convention Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
YouTuber SGSAMI pointed out that leaked direct messages showed that Bubba Fest came under attack from the #KickVic crowd who didn’t like that the convention was supporting Mignogna.
Interestingly enough there was also screenshots shared of Dublin Con, which revealed that they would not be hosting Vic Mignogna at all, and when called out for abandoning the fans, they doubled downed in their belief that Mignogna is guilty until proven innocent. The exchange was shared on Twitter by user The Jokester Mr. J.
There are 2 types of cons those who support lies & negativity & those who support love & positivity which cons will YOU support? #BubbaFest #dublincomiccon #istandwithvic #WeStandWithVic #VicKicksBack #Women4Vic peace & love triumphs over all. pic.twitter.com/impzrOr7Ai

And last but not least, The Neutral Zone announced via Twitter on March 28th, 2019 that Vic Mignogna would be attending their Fan Appreciation Weekend set to take place between May 24th and May 26th, 2019.

What’s interesting is that this shows a clear 180-degree turnaround from earlier this year when the allegations of misconduct first surfaced against Mignogna. As pointed out by DragonBae_Z, originally a bunch of conventions crossed the voice actor off their guest list, and basically he was ousted from all but five conventions throughout 2019.
We’ve been getting a lot of great new lately! A little bird has told me that this is not all the Cons that Vic was going to this year and I have a list of the ones that he’s still invited to and will release them as I confirm them so we can send support. #istandwithvic #women4vic pic.twitter.com/9Cn3hD8TME

But as Dragonbae_Z also pointed out, these other conventions have stepped up to the plate to invite Mignogna to meet with fans and engage with the very ebullient anime community.
The turnaround happened rather quickly once Mignogna filed the lawsuit and began going after the people trying to ruin his career. It didn’t help the #KickVic crew either when it was discovered that many of the allegations thrown at the actor were either formed by hearsay, provably false, or turned out to be outright fabricated.
In any case, there’s practically no substantial basis for the misconduct accusations being paraded around by the #KickVic group other than gossip and rumors. Some conventions seem to recognize all the hot air floating about, especially since Mignogna hasn’t been formally charged with an actual crime. So now they seem to be listening to the fans again and (re)inviting the actor to attend upcoming events.
