Streets Of Rogue, Co-op Rogue-Like Now Available On Switch, PS4, Xbox, PC

Matt Dabrowski’s Streets of Rogue is one of the various games that managed to struggle through the Early Access phase but come out on top after spending several years in development. The game didn’t just launch on PC after completing its Early Access run, it also launched on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One thanks to a little help in the publishing department from tinyBuild.

Not to be confused with Maple Whispering’s Streets of Red: Devil’s Dare Deluxe cooperative horror beat-’em-up that came out back in February, Streets of Rogue is a pixelated, isometric, four-player cooperative stealth-action simulator that combines the thrills and chills of stealth-oriented gaming from titles like The Escapists, with brawls-to-the-wall action that’s reminiscent of the isometric run-and-gun gameplay from Cyber Dogs.

You can scope out the gameplay trailer below to get an idea of what the gameplay is like, which is described by the developers as Binding of Isaac meets Nuclear Throne and Deus Ex.

The game centers around completing assigned tasks in a procedurally generated city where an AI overlord controls all, not unlike Daniel Saurez’ Daemon series.

Players will have to make do with each citizen’s ability to complete different assigned tasks throughout the city.

The game boasts having 20 different characters to play, from hackers to gorillas, and from soldiers to bartenders and everything else in between. You’ll be tasked with taking down gangs, freeing criminals, working as a data acquisition specialist, or fighting against the authority. There are a number of different tasks for each series of characters spread out across the city, ranging from escort missions to stealth missions, and from performing hits to freeing prisoners, there’s a wide variety of quests to conquer.

You can grab a digital copy of Streets of Rogue right now for home consoles or PC for just $19.99. For more info feel free to visit the official website.
