If 2K isn’t under scrutiny for sending goons to someone’s house, then you can bet Randy Pitchford is up to something controversial. Despite all of the negative news surrounding Borderlands 3 — which includes the whole Epic Games Store exclusivity and a myriad of other issues — a large sum of people are still excited to see what the third installment has in store. However, if you can’t run it, then you can’t play it.
And if you can’t play it due to your rig, then how do you know what you need to play the forthcoming game? Well, Borderlands 3′s Epic Games Store page has been updated to show off the minimum and recommended PC specs for gamers and fans alike.
Furthermore, although I’m not a fan of Steam and some of its policies, at least the storefront has a more in-depth look at what your rig needs to run the game. In other words, folks have a better understanding given the following list Steam abides by:
- What required OS you need
- What processor you need
- How much memory or RAM you need
- What type of graphics card you need
- What version of DirectX you need
- What type of network or Internet connection you need
- How much storage space is required
- And the type of sound card you need
As it stands now, there are only five things up which consists of the following for minimum specs:
Minimum Specs:
- OS: Windows 7/8/10 (latest service pack)
- Processor: AMD FX-8350 (Intel i5-3570)
- RAM: 6GB
- Graphics Card: AMD Radeon™ HD 7970 (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB)
- HDD: 75 GB
The same five things are up on Borderlands 3’s Epic Game Store page, as seen below:
Recommended Specs:
- OSWindows: 7/8/10 (latest service pack)
- Processor: AMD Ryzen™ 5 2600 (Intel i7-4770)
- RAM: 16GB
- Graphics Card: AMD Radeon™ RX 590 (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB)
- HDD: 75 GB
Lastly, Borderlands 3 will hit PC (Epic Game Store), PS4, and Xbox One on September 13th, 2019. As for those who game on Steam, the “shooter-looter” will become available sometime April 2020.
