Kojima Productions will have assistance from 505 Games to release the PC version of Death Stranding sometime during the early parts of summer 2020. However, PS4 gamers will get the cinematic experience labeled as a game on November 8th, 2019.
That’s right, PC gamers will get the opportunity to watch, I mean… play Death Stranding too. Kojima Productions took to Twitter to announce this move that was already out in the wild ever since 2015.
Anyway, here’s the tweet in question:
Thanks to all of you who have been supporting #DEATHSTRANDING!
DEATH STRANDING release on PS4 is November 8, 2019!!
Furthermore, KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS is happy to announce that DEATH STRANDING will be coming to PC in early summer of 2020!!#kojimaproductions #deathstrandingpc pic.twitter.com/Sk4clWWY1X— Kojima Productions (@KojiPro2015_EN) October 28, 2019
Back in August, websites like ScreenRant, Metro (archive.is), and PCGamer (archive.is) all shared the same sentiment in that the chance of Death Stranding coming to PC is higher than ever, despite Kojima saying that the movie… I mean, the game was coming to the house of PC four years ago.
The reasons why many publication sites started covering a potential PC port is all due to the game’s cover art not having the “Only on PlayStation” banner. Additionally, the PlayStation online stores for Portugal, France, Germany, Australia, and the UK no longer show the game in question on the exclusive list.
With all of that said, 505 Games co-founder and CEO Raffi Galante in a press release had this to say about the title from Kojima Productions heading to PC next year:
“We are extremely excited and honored to be working with the supremely talented team at Kojima Productions and to bring Death Stranding to PC gamers around the world. Death Stranding will take gamers through a completely original experience that will delight PC gamers everywhere.”
Anyway, PS4 gamers are to get Death Stranding on November 8th of this year, while PC goers are slated to get the game sometime during mid-2020.
