Marvel And Games Workshop Partner Up; Warhammer Comic Coming In 2020

Marvel Comics and Games Workshop have partnered up together to create a comic book series based on the Warhammer franchise. The series is set to debut in the fall of 2020 next year.

The announcement came via a blog post over on the Warhammer community website, where they revealed…

“Yeah, you read that right. Games Workshop and Marvel are collaborating to create Warhammer comics! Even better, the first comics are due to land in autumn 2020. Yeah, we know – it’s super rad.”

Details on the comic book haven’t been revealed yet, so we don’t yet know what stories they’re going to follow or even from what era.

The teaser art that Games Workshop came up with parodying what readers would look like indulging in the comic comes from the 40K universe, but the stories could very well take place in the medieval-fantasy era of Warhammer as well.

The blog post doesn’t reveal any additional information, but they did state that more details will be revealed soon.

Most fans aren’t looking forward to this collaboration due to Marvel’s complete disregard for their fanbase, and their focus on social justice above good storytelling. In fact, many Marvel comics have ended up on the Get Woke; Go Broke Master List after failing to shift any sizable amount of comic books compared to what they used to move in the past.

The company is so bent on trying to appease the phantom audience they’ve turned off large portions of their core demographic.

Games Workshop isn’t entirely innocent in this affair, either. They did indulge the cult of cultural Communism by including gender pronouns in one of the guide books, as pointed out by Arch Warhammer.

There’s little hope that the new comic book will be free of any kind of sociopolitical messaging, especially with Marvel at the helm, but it’s definitely something to keep an eye on in terms of sales and feedback from the usual suspects.
