Red Dead Redemption 2 Heading To Steam On December 5th, 2019

Rockstar Games and Take-Two announced a month ago that they were bringing Red Dead Redemption 2 to PC via Steam this year. However, the game that’s already out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC through the Epic Games Store, Rockstar Games Launcher, Greenman Gaming, the Humble Store, and GameStop will hit Steam early December on the 5th.

Without wasting any time, the stock or vanilla version of Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC calls for a whopping 150GB of free space to run the game. You will also need 8GB of RAM (which isn’t much at all) to go hands-on with the game in question at low specs, and you’ll need 12GB if you want to play the game as recommended.

Folks attempting to run the game at the lowest specs need a 64-bit processor and operating system, anything that is above Windows 7 (64-bit) will do you fine, and for all things GPU, you will either need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 2GB or AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB or higher:

Minimum PC Specs:

Requirements: 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 7 – Service Pack 1 (6.1.7601)
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-2500K / AMD FX-6300
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 770 2GB / AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 150 GB available space
Sound Card: Direct X Compatible

And like clockwork, the recommended requirements to get Red Dead Redemption 2 going sit below:

Recommended PC Specs:

Requirements: 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10 – April 2018 Update (v1803)
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-4770K / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
Memory: 12 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB / AMD Radeon RX 480 4GB
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 150 GB available space
Sound Card: Direct X Compatible

Also, openiv.com is now working on official mod support for Red Dead Redemption 2. This means that if everything goes well in the future without goons showing up to the team’s doorstep, folks can explore a much different wild West experience on PC.

That’s right, RDR2 will be the first Red Dead game to support Open IV. This means in late December, and throughout 2020, Red Dead Redemption 2 might see mods similar to its counterpart, GTA V, pop up on the scene that changes the game’s core.

Anyway, you can check out Red Dead Redemption 2’s Steam page ahead of its December 5th, 2019, launch date by paying the given link a visit.
