Watch Dogs Legion And Gods And Monsters Heading To Next-Gen Consoles, Says Ubisoft

If you’re not like me and actually care about Ubisoft and their games, Ubisoft is using the delay time that hit Watch Dogs Legion, Rainbow Six Quarantine, and Gods and Monsters to bring said games to next-gen consoles.

That’s right, the last time we reported on Ubisoft (the company known for rehashing content), and the trio that faced a delay, website GameSpot (archive.org) wrote up a piece relaying that folks looking to play the woke forthcoming game known as Watch Dogs Legion must wait.

In addition to the above, the same principle of waiting applies to those seeking to get their hands-on Rainbow Six Quarantine, and the vapid looking Gods and Monsters.

As per gamesindustry.biz, Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot has confirmed that the recently delayed “2020 releases will now be cross-generation titles.”

In other words, all three games will, at some point, hit both current generation systems and the upcoming PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Project Scarlett.

The website cites Guillemot talking about the launch of two more unannounced AAA games on both generations within the same fiscal year that tallies up to five in total:

“The five titles [including the three delayed games] will be on this generation and next generation of consoles, and they will take full advantage of all the new features that are coming with the machines, which are actually going to be extremely interesting for players as you’ll be able to download new content a lot faster.”

Personally, all of this should have me excited, but I’m not. Contrary to that, if your interest is piqued and you can’t wait for one of the three games to launch, do know that frame rate is one of Ubisoft’s top priorities:

“Players will experience better framerate, so there are lots of very good elements that will come with those new machines.”

So there’s that. Ubisoft is planning on releasing five triple-A games on current and next-gen consoles.
